Kodagu District Court (KDC) has started online application to fill the vacant posts of 2 Driver, 6 Process Server, 8 Typist and 23 Peon. Educational qualification:
- Driver:
Candidates applying for the posts of Driver should have passed the SSLC examination from a recognized board or equivalent educational qualification and should also have a valid driving license.
- Process Server:
Candidates applying for the posts of Process Server should have passed the SSLC or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Typist:
Candidates applying for the posts of Typist should have passed the Second PUC from a recognized board or completed a three-year diploma course in Commercial Practice and should have passed the Kannada and English Senior Grade Typewriting examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board
Or should have studied Kannada and English Senior Typewriting as an optional subject with a Diploma in Secretarial Practice conducted by the Karnataka Technical Examination Board.
- Peon:
Candidates applying for the posts of Peon must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination from a recognized board and must be able to read and write Kannada.
Age limit details:
As per the current recruitment notification of Kodagu District and Sessions Court, the age limit of the candidates applying for the vacant posts of Driver, Process Server, Typist, Peon will be calculated as on the last date of submission of applications i.e. 03-10-2026.
- Accordingly, candidates of all categories should have a minimum age limit of 18 years.

Selection Process:
- Driver:
The selection process for the eligible candidates for the posts of driver is as follows. In the first stage, a driving practical test is conducted for the candidates. Those who pass the driving test are called for an interview in the ratio of 1:5. Finally, the eligible candidates are selected on the basis of the marks scored in the driving practical test and interview.
- Process Server:
Candidates are called for interview in the ratio of 1:25 based on the marks scored in the Educational Qualification Test i.e. SSLC exam. This interview carries a total of 10 marks and finally the eligible candidates are selected based on the marks scored in the interview.
- Typist:
A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Educational Eligibility Test, and based on this, a 15-minute typing skill test will be conducted for the candidates. This test carries a total of 100 marks and it is mandatory for the candidates to score 50% marks in this test. Finally, the eligible candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Educational Eligibility Test, Typing Test and Interview.
- Peon:
Candidates are called for interview in the ratio of 1:10 based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the educational qualification test i.e. SSLC or equivalent examination. A total of 10 marks are allotted for this interview and the eligible candidates are selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the interview.
Salary scale:
The candidates selected for the vacant posts of Driver, Process Server, Typist and Peon in Kodagu District Court (KDC) will be given attractive monthly salary as mentioned below.
- Candidates selected for Driver posts will be given a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 34,100/- to Rs. 67,600/-.
- Candidates selected for Typist posts will be given an attractive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 34,100/- to Rs. 67,600/-.
