Educational Qualification:
- Forest observer:
Candidates applying for the posts of Forest Inspector must have passed SSLC from a recognized board or have equivalent educational qualification.
Age limit details:
Candidates applying for the vacant posts of Forest Inspector in various forest zones of the state must have completed at least 18 years of age on the last date for submission of applications and candidates of various categories must have the following maximum age limit:
- General Category Candidates: 30 years
- Other Backward Classes candidates: 32 years
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: 33 years
Age relaxation:
Ex-servicemen candidates will have an age relaxation of 3 years, excluding the period of service they have served.
Candidates who have served as Forest Inspector in the Forest Department for 5 years should have the following maximum age limit.
- General Category Candidates: 40 years
- Other Backward Classes candidates: 42 years
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: 43 years
Application fee:
- 200/- for male candidates belonging to General, Other Backward Classes (2A, 2B, 3A, 3B) categories
- 100/- for women and third gender candidates of General, Other Backward Classes (2A, 2B, 3A, 3B) categories
- 100/- for male candidates belonging to Category-I, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes

Male candidates should have a height of 163 cm and a chest circumference of 79 cm (expandable by 5 cm) and female candidates should have a height of 150 cm.
Physical endurance test:
At this stage, male candidates must run 1600 meters in 7 minutes, while female candidates must run 1000 meters in 6 minutes.
Physical fitness test:
At this stage, candidates will be given a total of five different tests including the 100-meter run, high jump, long jump, and short put. It is mandatory for candidates to pass all three tests.
- Medical examination:
A provisional merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in SSLC and physical examination, after which the eligible candidates will be selected after verification of documents and medical examination.
